The new home for KB Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd of Lethbridge, Alberta, was completed with a combination of a pre-engineered steel building with a wood-framed office component. The office consisted of office rooms, boardroom, sales/showroom areas, and reception area. The pre-engineered steel building consisted of space for their production, manufacturing, and vehicle storage, and also facilitate the space for staff, and admin spaces. The client’s existing facility was reviewed and coordinated to be integrated into the new shop drawings planning for their future growth.
The project was collaboratively completed as a Design Assist building with Silver Ridge Construction (1999) Ltd, BCB Engineering Ltd, and Sunwise Engineering Ltd. Southwest Design and Construction was contracted to complete the supply and installation of the pre-engineered steel building.
The wood-framed exterior included fiber cement panels with aluminum reveals, architectural masonry brick, and LED lighting.
